Maxine Barasch, Esq. is the principal attorney for Maxine Barasch & Associates, PLLC. Ms. Barasch, a native of Albany, NY, received her Juris Doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University. After a brief excursion away, Ms. Barasch returned to open her own practice in the heart of Tech Valley.
Ms. Barasch completed her undergraduate degree at the University at Albany, where she studied biochemistry, physical chemistry, molecular biology, genetics, and microbiology. In 2003, a Bachelor of Science was conferred upon her in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She graduated magna cum laude.
Ms. Barasch also holds an Associate of Arts from Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, NY. There, she studied general biology, chemistry, and physics, in addition to organic chemistry and engineering design. Ms. Barasch graduated summa cum laude in 2001.
During the fall of 2004 and spring of 2005, Ms. Barasch worked as a law clerk at the Ganje Law Office in Albany, NY. Also during the spring of 2005, Ms. Barasch was a Clinical Extern at the Albany County District Attorney's Office.
Beginning in the summer of 2005, Ms. Barasch worked as a law clerk at the intellectual property law firm of Mark Levy & Associates, PLLC, located in Binghamton, NY. She later became a Registered Patent Agent for the firm, and then an associate attorney. While there, Ms. Barasch conducted practice in all areas of intellectual property law, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and licensing. Ms. Barasch moved on in the spring of 2007 to open her practice.
Ms. Barasch is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of New York State, the Federal District Court for the Northern District of New York, and the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Ms. Barasch is a member in good standing of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, and Albany County Bar Association. She is a member of the National Order of the Barristers, an honor bestowed upon her for excellence in courtroom advocacy. Ms. Barasch is the founder and president of Capital Alliance of Young Professionals, Inc. She is also a member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
